Cast iron gate It is a kind of small flat gate, which is widely used in water intake and water delivery, municipal construction, water supply and drainage, farmland irrigation and other projects. It is usually set at the water inlet of channels and culverts to regulate the flow and control the water level, or as the maintenance gate to close the orifice for water retaining.
Cast iron gate has two kinds, square and round. Cast iron gate is generally composed of gate leaf and door frame. The material of gate body and frame is cast iron, which is generally cast and processed as a whole.
It can be used as the face plate or reinforced arch. Generally, the door body is cast and machined as a whole, but the larger size can be divided into blocks. Generally, integral metal water stop is adopted on the door body, which is also used as supporting slide block. The metal water stop is fixed on the door body with countersunk screws made of the same material. The screw head and the water stop working face are finished together. Some larger size can also be "P" shaped rubber water stop.
The door frame is the connecting member between the cast iron gate and the foundation, which is equivalent to the buried height part of the plane steel gate. The door frame includes two parts: the lower door frame and the upper guide rail. The lower door frame is generally cast as a whole. The guide rail can be connected with the door frame with bolts (screws) or cast with the lower door frame as a whole. When the door body is opened to the highest position, the top of the guide rail shall be higher than the horizontal center line of the door body.
Generally, the cast iron gate is equipped with adjustable wedge tightening device, and the wedge tightening pairs (such as wedge and wedge, wedge and eccentric pin, etc.) are respectively set on the door body and the door frame. By adjusting the wedge clamping device, the door body can be close to the door frame when the gate is closed, so as to meet the water stop requirements.
Cast iron gate is usually equipped with manual or electric screw hoist to operate the gate.
It has the following characteristics:
Simple layout, compact structure, space saving; simple operation and maintenance, reducing operation costs, but the cost of cast iron gate is slightly higher than that of steel gate.
Strong corrosion resistance. The door body and frame are made of cast iron, and the water stop surface is inlaid with copper alloy or stainless steel and other corrosion-resistant materials, with strong corrosion resistance, which is especially suitable for sewage or sea water environment. Where there are special requirements, nickel chromium alloy cast iron and other materials with stronger corrosion resistance can be used.
The sealing pair of cast iron gate is processed as a whole, with good sealing effect and long service life of metal sealing.
